Saint-Christol-lès-Alès – This Sunday morning, the parishioners of St Christol-lez-Alès discovered a Nazi cross and an antisemitic graffiti “death to the Jew” (“mort au Juif”) on the wall of the presbytery of the Church.
The mayor of St Christol-lez-Alès Jean-Charles Benezet quickly announced he was filing a complaint. He should also engage the municipality’s technical services tomorrow Monday to erase these antisemitic insults.
The police, for their part, will investigate in the coming days to find the perpetrator(s).
At the end of the year, the Minister of the Interior Gérald Darmanin requested the greatest firmness from the prefects against the authors of such inscriptions.
