USA – ADL launches online resource hub tracking progress on U.S. national strategy to counter antisemitism

ADL (the Anti-Defamation League) today launched a new online resource hub tracking progress to date on the U.S. National Strategy to Counter Antisemitism.

At a time of rising antisemitism, the new website will serve as a hub for accountability — ensuring that the White House is taking every step possible to meet its commitments as outlined in the strategy to tackle the deluge of hate.

“Since the attacks on Oct. 7 opened the floodgates to antisemitism in the United States and around the world, we need to ensure now more than ever that there’s accountability from our leaders and to make sure that the key objectives and milestones contained within the U.S. National Strategy are advancing as outlined in the plan,” said Jonathan Greenblatt, ADL CEO. “We created this new resource to provide a one-stop resource to members of Congress, administration officials and the public so that everyone can see how the strategy is progressing in real time.”

The ADL site will track the White House’s progress in implementing the strategy, present a clear a timeline of commitments, include links to the related resources published by the Administration as part of the National Strategy, as well as complimentary ADL resources. The site offers a comprehensive breakdown of the plan by federal agency, deadlines, and action status.

The historic National Strategy to Counter Antisemitism, released in May 2023, is the first-ever whole-of-government, whole-of-society strategy by the White House to counter the world’s oldest hatred. ADL experts contributed more than 30 distinct policy recommendations to this plan and have since worked with government agencies to support the implementation of the commitments outlined in the plan.

ADL is delivering on our promises made alongside the National Strategy to Counter Antisemitism. We are strengthening cross-community engagements with local United We Stand convenings to build understanding among diverse partners. We are fighting antisemitism in K-12 schools and on college and university campuses and supporting Jewish Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) in the government and private sector.

In addition, ADL joined with the Interparliamentary Task Force to Combat Online Antisemitism to address the challenges and opportunities presented by AI and other new technologies. In November 2023, ADL and the Interparliamentary Task Force convened global parliamentarians and legislators, special envoys, White House officials, and technology company executives to discuss steps the companies must take to ensure AI and Generative AI tools do not contribute to the proliferation of online antisemitism and hate.

ADL is the leading anti-hate organization in the world. Founded in 1913, its timeless mission is “to stop the defamation of the Jewish people and to secure justice and fair treatment to all.” Today, ADL continues to fight all forms of antisemitism and bias, using innovation and partnerships to drive impact. A global leader in combating antisemitism, countering extremism and battling bigotry wherever and whenever it happens, ADL works to protect democracy and ensure a just and inclusive society for all.
