USA – The family of an autistic Jewish student are suing his school after he had a swastika carved into his back

The family of an autistic Jewish student are suing his school after he had a swastika carved into his back.

The 18-year-old’s mother claims the Clark County School District failed to protect him and give him a proper education.

The complaint states: “At the outset, the district failed to provide [the student] a safe school environment that was free from harassment, intimidation and bullying.

“Specifically, on March 9, 2023, [the student] came home from school with a swastika physically carved into his back.

“The district denied any knowledge of the incident occurring.”

The teenager has been homeschooled since the incident.

The Lawfare Project, which filed the complaint, said in a statement: “This horrific act against a defenceless Jewish student is a stark reminder of the deeply rooted issue of antisemitism that persists in our society,”

Clark County School District said it does not comment on pending litigation.
