Cologne – Next to a bus stop in Moitzfeld, a district of Bergisch Gladbach, the words “Jews 1. FC Köln” (“Juden 1. FC Köln“) were scrawled.
It is an antisemitic mark aimed at discrediting the said football club or its fans. The term “Jew”, a value-neutral self-designation of Jews, is used here in a clearly derogatory function.
According to media reports, the police are now investigating.
