Williamsburg, Brooklyn, NY – Two Orthodox Jewish men suffered minor
injuries after paintballs were fired at them from a passerby vehicle
in Williamsburg.
The incidents allegedly happened in
succession. In the first incident reported, a 37-year-old was walking down Kent
avenue at around 7:30pm, when a vehicle
speeding down Kent avenue stopped at the corner of Hewes Avenue and fired
paintballs at him.
The second incident apparently happened a few
blocks away, as a witness came forward saying he saw a car firing paintballs at
a teenager on Lee Avenue corner Lorimer street, sources told JP. However, no
victim came forward and no police report was filed.
On Monday, detectives of the
90th precinct reviewed the case and ruled it a possible bias incident. The
Hate Crimes Task Force is reviewing the case.
