Over 20 antisemitic incidents have been reported to the Jewish Students’ Union since the beginning of the academic year in September 2007. Most of the incidents took place off-campus, although antisemitic graffiti, including a caricature of Hitler, have been daubed inside the campuses, including a caricature of a Jew wearing a skullcap discovered in the washrooms. On at least two occasions, unidentified persons shouted antisemitic epithets at Jews students on their way home from synagogue. The Jewish Students’ Union is concerned over the deterioration of the atmosphere on the campuses and the fact the Jewish students don’t feel comfortable at the universities.
