Germany – Two information boards smeared with antisemitic graffiti in Essen

Essen – A passer-by discovered two information boards about the city’s history in downtown Essen with antisemitic graffiti on them.

Unknown people wrote “bastards” (Bastarde) and “lie” (Lüge) on the signs of the Jewish Hirschland banking family. When referring to the Jewish community, the word “Jew” was covered.
