Rome – Zionists=Nazis. Victims compared to executioners. Just under two hours after the start of the demonstration against antisemitism in Piazza del Popolo, tension rises. A series of stickers with the gloomy equation were posted on the walls close to the square heavily patrolled by the police.
It is not clear when the raid was carried out. However, citizens and volunteers are combing the area to remove all the antisemitic stickers. “This is yet another provocation towards us”, says a man as he removes one of the stickers from the entrance to the square where ministers and politicians will parade in a couple of hours.
