Germany – Man sentenced for antisemitic slogans after Hamas attack on Israel

Munich – A man who shouted antisemitic insults in Munich on the day of Hamas’ terrorist attack on Israel has been sentenced to eight months in prison on probation for, among other things, sedition.

The verdict in the accelerated proceedings before the Munich district court on Thursday is legally binding. The trial may have been one of the first in this complex nationwide.

On October 7th of this year, the Iraqi native shouted antisemitic insults from the balcony of his Munich apartment until the police arrived. The man resisted arrest and tried to escape. When he was caught, he spat and swore at the officers.
