Berlin – On the night of Sunday to Monday, the Lichtenberg neighborhood bar “Tomorrow will be better” was repeatedly attacked with antisemitic attacks .

The Berlin police reported a break-in and antisemitic graffiti left behind in the basement of the bar. The Jewish owner of “Tomorrow will be better” confirmed to the Tagesspiegel that it was his corner bar.

According to the Berlin police, two previously unknown people forced their way into the bar through the basement and stole several bottles of spirits. The suspects are also said to have left antisemitic graffiti on a cellar door. Further investigations will be carried out by the state police of the State Criminal Police Office.

Photos of the owner show what messages the burglars left behind in the interior of the restaurant. Below is a Star of David in blue color with the letter “J” inside the symbol. There is also the number “88”, which was also painted in blue on a basement wall.
