Val-d’Oise – A 15-year-old Jewish teenager was the victim of an antisemitic attack and death threats while he was on board a train between the Herblay (Val-d’Oise) and Conflans stations. Sainte-Honorine (Yvelines), Sunday November 12, Le Figaro learned from corroborating sources.

The young boy, who was traveling on a J line train, was attacked by two individuals who kicked him several times before uttering antisemitic insults and death threats against him, details Le Figaro a police source. One of the perpetrators notably threatened the young boy to “cut his throat” , claiming to have “hatred” about “the events in Gaza” .

After they tried to steal his phone, a person present in the same Transilien train then intervened between the young boy and his attackers, specifies our police source. Then, the perpetrators of the attack fled by getting off the train at Conflans-Sainte-Honorine station. An investigation was opened on the charge of attempted extortion committed due to the victim’s true or supposed membership of a specific religion, specifies the Pontoise public prosecutor’s office.
