Mainz – Unknown people damaged several stumbling blocks in Mainz on the day of remembrance of the Nazi pogroms against Jews .
The three stones in memory of Holocaust victims were daubed with black paint last Thursday, as the police in Mainz announced on Monday.
It was said that the names on the stumbling blocks in the Ebersheim district of Mainz became illegible. The perpetrators also stole flowers that had been left there. The police are investigating the possible perpetrators and are asking for information from witnesses.
