Italy – A teacher suspended after post against Jews: “Hitler was right”

Hanane Hammoud

Roncade TV“Go to hell, Hitler was right about you Jews.”

The shocking writing appeared on the social media history of a teacher from the H-Farm high school in Roncade (Treviso), who now risks disciplinary action.

It was a student who saw the story and took the screenshot, then showed it to her parents. The result was a tom-tam in the chat: in short, it was only a matter of time for the issue to reach the institute’s management.

When questioned, the mathematics teacher admitted having written that sentence but in a moment of “psychological distress”. The teacher, Hanane Hammoud, was born in Lebanon where she obtained a degree in Science, then specialized in mathematics at the American University of Dubai.

Sources from H-Farm, the company that owns the Campus which hosts 1,500 students of various nationalities, say that Hammoud is meeting the kids to explain and apologize, and says she is “devastated” by what is happening. The teacher also spoke with other teachers and school managers, while the company underlines that it “immediately dissociated itself” from the statements “not only for what was said but for the role of educator” of its employee.
