1,159 antisemitic acts have been recorded since October 7 in France, Interior Minister Gérald Darmanin announced this Wednesday afternoon in the Senate.
This is “three times more antisemitic events than for the whole of 2022”, specified the minister.
518 people were arrested, added Gérald Darmanin, referring to the case of several young minors, suspected of having sung antisemitic songs last week in the Paris metro. They were “identified”, announced the minister.
