The President of the Jewish Community, Oskar Deutsch , recalled the sharp increase in attacks on Jews, including in Austria, since the attack on Israel by the Palestinian terrorist organization Hamas, as well as the increase in antisemitic slogans.
In the first three weeks after October 7th there were at least 165 antisemitic incidents in Austria . That is an increase of 400 percent . Jews must “exhibit increased vigilance.”
These are still isolated cases, but the question is how long.
