São Paulo – A work of art that depicts religious tolerance may have been the target of a hate crime in the west zone of São Paulo. The image of a Jewish child in the panel “Coexistence, memorial of faith and for all the victims of Covid-19”, by artist Eduardo Kobra, was smeared with red paint.
If confirmed, this will be the first case of antisemitism since the beginning of the war declared by Israel on Hamas, involving a Jewish symbol that is on the streets of the capital of São Paulo, according to Conib (Israeli Confederation of Brazil).
