Plauen – A memorial plaque for Dr. Isidore Goldberg desecrated in Plauen.  Dr. Isidore Goldberga was a well-known Plauen lawyer and notary who was persecuted by the Nazis and murdered in 1943.

The memorial plaque is attached to the VR Bank Bayreuth Hof building on the corner of Krausenstrasse and Bahnhofstrasse, where Goldberg lived until his arrest in 1933. Unknown people smeared the board with black Sharpie and attached antisemitic writing.

The police are now investigating charges of sedition combined with damaging property that is harmful to the community.
