Gaza – Al-Jazeera Network (Qatar) aired a telephone interview with Osama Hamdan, a member of Hamas’s Political Bureau, on October 17, 2023, in which he responded to the blast near a Gaza hospital, which Hamas said was carried out by Israeli airstrikes and claimed 500 lives.
Hamdan said that this would be a “mark of shame” on U.S. President Biden and Secretary of State Antony Blinken. He added that Blinken has forgotten he is the Secretary of State and only thinks of himself as a Jew. Hamdan added that Blinken was a party to the Israeli war cabinet, “which decided on a series of crimes that we are witnessing.”
He said: “They whine about Hitler’s Holocaust, which is put to shame by the holocaust they are perpetrating themselves.” It should be noted that according to the Israel Defense Forces spokesman, the blast near a Gaza hospital was a result of a Palestinian Islamic Jihad rocket misfire from a nearby cemetery.
