Grenoble – An investigation was opened in Grenoble after an “antisemitic” burglary of an apartment at Bastille à Fontaine whose walls were covered with threats, swastikas and pro-Palestinian slogans, prosecutor Eric Vaillant said.
The occupant of the apartment noticed during the night from Monday to Tuesday that his accommodation had been burglarized, damaged and that the walls had been covered with a spray paint with antisemitic tags, according to the Grenoble prosecutor.
Death threats against Jews, insults, swastikas and the slogan “ Free Palestine ” were posted on the walls.
The robbed family, which according to the daily was targeted because of its Hebrew name, was put in touch with a victim support association, according to the prosecutor’s office which entrusted the investigation to departmental security police officers.
