Germany – Men attack women and spit on Israel flag at a rally in Hamburg

Hamburg – two participants were attacked after a solidarity rally for Israel on Monday. The police press office announced this on Tuesday. The police are now looking for the attackers and witnesses to the suspected anti-Semitic incident.

According to police, a 32-year-old and a 47-year-old woman were dismantling after the rally when they were suddenly attacked. The perpetrators are said to have been two young men who attacked her from behind, beat her and kicked her. During the attack, the perpetrators also tore an Israeli flag out of the women’s hands and trampled on it.

According to the police, the two “southern” looking men also spat on the flag. The victims are employees of Hamburg’s antisemitism commissioner, Stefan Hensel. The two women were injured in the shoulder, arm and head as a result of the attack. Paramedics looked after them, but they did not have to be taken to the hospital.
