USA – Nazi-clad group dining at Texas taco eatery yells ‘white power!’ at Jewish woman

Fort Worth, TX – A Texas woman’s Sunday taco lunch with her mom was interrupted by a group of diners who were wearing Nazi garb with one of them belting “White power!”

Jessica Gregorio, 31, quickly recorded a snippet of the estimated ten-deep group, one man was clad in a beige uniform with a Nazi swastika armband, causing them to finish up their lunch at Torchy’s in Fort Worth. His suspected cohorts were also spotted in a black hoodie bearing an image of a skull and a slogan that read “Gott Mit Uns” (translated from German to mean “God With Us”).

“When I saw [Nazi symbol] I was pretty upset about it,” Gregorio told Raw Story during a phone interview. “I was staring them down and recording them and making sure they were seen and know this was existing in our city.”

She suspects the group of taco patrons decided to leave the establishment as a result of her documenting them.

“They got up to leave and that’s when one gentleman yelled ‘White power!'”

The moment caught Gregorio off guard.

She retorted to one man who approached her: “I said, ‘You’re a piece of shit! I’m a proud Jew.'”

The supposed alpha of the pack then brought up the warring conflict between Israel and Hamas when he hissed, “You should be dead. That’s why you guys are getting blasted in Israel.”

Gregorio, who is a proud Jewish woman and works as a special education teacher, said the temperature may have been high inside Torchy’s but that she didn’t feel anything physical was going to happen.

That was until about a half-hour later when two of the group members returned to the restaurant.

“I got a little concerned when two of them came back 20 to 30 minutes later and that’s when the manager told them, ‘We’re not going to serve you anymore.'”

She continued: “I think they were trying to see if me and my mom were still there.”

The Austin-based Torchy’s Tacos chain later released a statement to the Fort Worth Star-Telegram who first reported the incident and later on social media denouncing the suspected hate group.

“Let us be clear, we do not stand for hate and do not support this group or any hate group,” the statement read. “In a difficult situation, our team acted to first ensure the safety of the other guests and our team members.”

The statement also said that Torchy’s will work with “local authorities” and is “taking this matter extremely seriously.” The statement ended with, “F— HATE.”

But Gregorio said the effort was only made long after the Star-Telegram ran their story.

“I do feel like its more damage control than anything else until they started getting tagged a lot on TikTok,” she said.
