Moscow – Actress Valentina Talyzina, speaking in Vyacheslav Manucharov’s program “Manucci’s Empathy” on his YouTube channel, accused the famous Russian singer Alla Pugacheva and actress Liya Akhedzhakova of allegedly hiding their Jewish origin.
“Pugacheva’s dad was called Borukh … and she renamed dad to Boris. I wanted to be Russian. And Lia Medzhidovna has the same story – her father was Nokhim, she took her stepfather’s patronymic,” V. Talyzina said, reproducing the anti-Semitic stereotype about Jews seeking to disguise themselves under other people’s surnames or patronymics (although Boris Pugachev was not a Jew, and Mejid Akhedzhakov was father, and not stepfather Akhedzhakova instead of the mythical “Nokhim”).
Talyzina, in an interview, reproduced another anti-Semitic stereotype – about the bad attitude of Jews towards non-Jews, stating that film director Eldar Ryazanov “treated me badly because I am a goyka (non-Jewish – Lechaim)”.
