Police say a Massachusetts teenager is charged with vandalizing a home and synagogue with racist and homophobic graffiti earlier this month.

The graffiti was found in Taunton on June 16 on a house, car and recycling bin on Everett Street and a synagogue on Winthrop Street. Investigators said the handwriting at both locations was similar.

A 15-year-old from Taunton, whose name was not released because of his age, is facing multiple charges, including vandalism and property damage to intimidate, in connection with the case.

The teen will be summonsed to appear at Taunton Juvenile Court, police said.
