Germany – Under “Allahu-akbar” shouts: Antisemitic attack at Holocaust memorial in Frankfurt

Frankfurt – An antisemitic attack happend at the holocaust memorial at Grossmarkthalle, Frankfurt’s Ostend.

The victims were Jews who are currently visiting Frankfurt. The group of 25 takes part in a city program aimed at Jews whose parents and grandparents lived in Frankfurt. At the Großmarkthalle they visited the memorial for the people deported from Frankfurt.

As the city announced, the attack came from a group of young people. They made verbal intimidation attempts. According to the police, one of the perpetrators shouted “Allahu akbar” and threw a filled plastic bottle, narrowly missing the head of a visitor. He later apologized to the woman and then walked away.
