Budapest – A strange recording was heard from a black loudspeaker above one of the billboards at the tram stop at Blaha Lujza Square heading towards the Nyugati railway station.

The people of BKV–BKK (Budapest Transport Center, Budapesti Közlekedési Központ) were already on the scene and said that the loudspeaker did not belong to them. For now, it is not possible to know whose action it is. The recordings did not play continuously, they mostly “shut up” when a tram rolled in and people got off.

Two types of text were repeated. One was a shorter recording about what if Tomcat had been active again lately

In the other recording, someone talked about the fact that several of the leaders of the police and prosecutors are Jews.

So for now, it is not possible to know who and why organized the action. Telex send questions to the police and the Europeum shopping center, because at the beginning of one of the recordings, due to the hacking, the name of the company was also heard, and the loudspeaker was placed above the advertisement of the store. We’ll let you know when they respond.

Telex also send a question to BKV, they wrote that, due to lack of competence, they forwarded the inquiry to the Capital City Council.

The Budapest Police Headquarters is currently investigating the content of the broadcast text.

The operator of the shopping center, CPI Hungary, told Telex that the management of the Europeum Shopping Center is doing everything it can to support the official investigation.

Telex also looked for the advertising company JCDecaux, which posted the advertising boards at the tram stop, who wrote: “The technical solution posted by JCDecaux at the Blaha Lujza tér stop was hit by a hacker attack, which we received a notification about today. We fixed the error immediately, but we are cooperating with the authorities in the investigation of the case.”
