Riga – Unknown criminals desecrated the memorial to Holocaust victims in Bikernieku forest, Riga.
According to Lolita Thomson, director of the Janis Lipke Memorial Museum, the intruders painted the Star of David on the Holocaust memorial in Bikernieku forest with black paint and the emblem of the Nazi Waffen-SS underneath.
The Riga municipality undertook to pass on the information to the relevant authorities.
