In the first quarter of 2022, as of April 28, seven people in Germany were slightly injured as a result of politically motivated crimes with an antisemitic background. As can be seen from the response of the federal government (20/1801) to a request from the parliamentary group Die Linke (20/1512), the Federal Criminal Police Office received reports of 459 criminal offenses with an antisemitic background for the period from the beginning of January to the end of March this year, including 14 acts of violence.
According to the response, a total of 211 suspects were identified for these crimes. “No people were arrested, no arrest warrants were issued,” the statement said. According to this, the number of cases mentioned is “preliminary and may be subject to significant changes as a result of late notifications/change reports”.
