Germany – A passenger slapped a bus driver in the face and made antisemitic remarks towards him

Johannisthal, Berlin – A passenger on a BVG bus spat on a bus driver in Johannisthal, Berlin, hit his face with his fist and insulted him in an antisemitic manner.

The man have been annoyed on Thursday morning that the driver stopped the bus about 50 meters from the Sterndamm stop, the police said on Friday. The state security agency responsible for politically motivated crimes is investigating antisemitic insults, incitement to hatred and bodily harm.

According to initial findings, the passenger insulted the bus driver and then attacked him. The 32-year-old driver is said to have resisted, pushed the suspect away and hit his fists in his direction.

The passenger insulted the bus driver in an antisemitic manner. After the attack, the man disappeared in the direction of the Schöneweide S-Bahn station.
