Le Meix-Tiercelin – Sunday morning, the mayor of the town discovered antisemitic and homophobic tags on the electoral panels in front of the town hall. He alerted the gendarmerie, who took samples.

The taggers at least had the good taste to paint their swastika in brown paint, the color usually attributed to the far right, when they vandalized the electoral signs of the town on the night of Saturday to Sunday. On the space devoted to the electoral display, the mayor discovered on the morning of the second round several inscriptions of neo-Nazi inspiration, with homophobic insults, and a star of David under the portrait of Emmanuel Macron. The candidate of the National Rally obviously had the support of the vandals, who twice added the words “Vive Marine”, while sparing her poster.

” It’s scandalous. Everything was cleaned up quickly, and I notified the gendarmerie, ”warned the mayor of Meix-Tiercelin, René Mautrait. The gendarmes came to take samples. “It could be useful if we find spray paint in someone’s car, for example. »

The elected official held the polling station in the afternoon, not without asking himself questions: “What worries me is that there are no tags in the neighboring villages. I hope it’s not from us! »
