Treffiagat – Antisemitic tags with Nazi references were discovered on the building of the town hall of Treffiagat (Finistère). Swastikas were drawn there with construction paint during the night.

“I was warned very early this morning by a local resident. When I arrived, I was appalled,” denounces Nathalie Carrot-Tanneau, the mayor of Treffiagat. After the passage of the gendarmes, the tags could be quickly erased. The mayor denounces “with the greatest firmness these acts”. She filed a complaint with the police.

In a press release, the prefect of Finistère, Philippe Mahé uses the same firmness to “condemn these antiemitic acts and heinous tags. Antisemitism and all other forms of hatred have no place in our Republic”.

For its part, the Quimper gendarmerie company confirms that an investigation has been opened to find the perpetrator or perpetrators.
