USA – Teens guilty in antisemitic hate crime aimed at Bonita Springs rabbi

Bonita Springs, FL – Two teenagers were sentenced Wednesday for an antisemitic hate crime in Bonita Springs.

17-year-old Tucker Bachman and 14-year-old Case Leckbee vandalized the home of a Bonita Springs rabbi, Rabbi Mendy Greenberg, on January 31.

The teens spraypainted the word “Jew’s” on the driveway of the home, destroyed a mailbox, and smashed a car window.

Both teens were charged with criminal mischief, according to the State Attorney’s Office.

They both are on probation, which includes community service and a curfew. Additionally, they must also attend the Neighborhood Accountability Board with their parents or legal guardian.

“These juveniles will face their consequences immediately from the community they injured. They will learn of the impact of their senseless behavior by meeting with leaders of the Jewish community and, together, the community will determine how best to repair the harm,” said State Attorney Amira Fox.
