San Antonio, TX – People in the Clearview area off of Callaghan were shaken up over the weekend, when many of them woke up to strange ziplock bags on their front lawns.

“There was a white paper and it had a symbol and then it said white power,” said Karla Canedo, a resident that saw one of the bags in her yard but refused to touch it.

“Like right there, so it had to be somebody to either throw it or come into part of the house and just leave it there, but there was like dog food, or what looked like dog food.”

Ziplock bags had dog food inside, with a white paper of racist propaganda printed on both sides. Not every house received a bag.

“I thought that was very strange because things like that hasn’t happened in the neighborhood,” she said.

People reached out on the Nextdoor App alerting others of the bags. Some commented that they had made a police report and others said they were told not to.

News 4 reached out to SAPD to find out if residents should be making police reports on these issues, SAPD says they encourage all residents to report suspicious activity.

SAPD did receive three calls for ‘anti-Semitic’ material and are aware of the situation. SAPD’s S.A.F.F.E unit will be reaching out to all of the HOA’s in the neighborhood.

Although Canedo is disturbed by the bags, she felt compelled to speak to her 16-year-old daughter about it, “she’s like ‘mom, i mean people still do that’, I said I understand but right now we’re at a different time where we’re trying to not look at people by color, ethnicity, race”.
