USA – Anti-semitic flyers at McGregor Boulevard in Fort Myers

Fort Myers, FL – Dozens of antisemitic and racist flyers were littered across six streets in a Northwest Fort Myers neighborhood.

Residents living between McGregor Blvd and Valencia Way believe either Wednesday night or Thursday morning, someone targeted their neighborhood to spread hate. Flyers were folded up into plastic baggies filled with rice for weight.

The flyers show a cartoon version of Whoopi Goldberg, who recently fell into controversy, and read “Antisemitism is a human right #Whites4Whoopi”. The bottom has a message that reads, “flyer spread randomly without malicious intent.”

Rachel Bass with SURJ Southwest Florida said it couldn’t be further from the truth. “It’s disturbing and distressing and makes the entire less safe and less of a community,” she said.

Carla Hill, Associate Director of the Anti-Defamation League’s Center of Extremism, said the flyers are rapidly being distributed throughout the country by members of one extremist group.

“This flyer has been repurposed with a symbol for the America First group, which is led by Nicholas Fuentes,” she said. “It’s a trolling effort by the ‘Goyim Defense League’ against ‘America First’ because they don’t like them.”

The scheme also continues the group’s ongoing efforts to direct hate towards the Jewish community.

Fort Myers Police Department has launched an investigation into this. But investigators do believe the neighborhood was randomly targeted.
