Brussels – Yves Byron, 56, a driving school teacher from Rishon Lezion, with Belgian and Israeli citizenship, sent an e-mail to his lawyer on Clemenceau Avenue in Anderlecht, Belgium in August 2021.
The letter did arrive in Belgium a few days after being posted in Israel and would have been processed in a Brussels sorting center.
However, he was sent back to Israel almost three and a half months after his arrival in Belgium, with the words “insufficient / incorrect address”, which had been intentionally altered, in particular by a design of a swastika and the inscription “J Fuck”, which could be translated as“ Shit on the Jews ”.
