New York – Peloton has apologized after one of its instructors referred to “liver of a blaspheming Jew” during a live workout.
The company which streams fitness classes online said sorry over the incident involving trainer Christine D’Ercole, confirming the class had been removed from its library.
A Peloton spokesperson: “Peloton’s aim is to strengthen, support and uplift our diverse community and sometimes we fall short of that goal.
“We apologize that during one of our classes, an Instructor quoted a Shakespeare passage that included an antisemitic line.
“This was a mistake and the class has been removed from our library.”
