Like in the past elections, in the “super election year” 2021 (Superwahljahr) there were antisemitic incidents in the context of the election campaign. Everywhere in the frequent space, the political split between the parties was visible. This visibility is also used antisemitism for their purposes.The Federal Association of RIAS and the news stations organized in it documented since May until the 26th. September 2021 a total of 38 cases across Germany with reference to the election campaign.
Most of them turned against the democratic parties identified in the antisemitic world view as alleged opponents. In particular, politicians with smearing on election posters were marked as Jewish in order to denounce and defame them. Antisemitic incidents were also documented at six gatherings.
