Oelwein, IA – The Oelwein Police Department is investigating after a billboard in the city was vandalized.
The billboard is about COVID-19 vaccines and is posted on Highway 150 near 12th Street SE.
The graffiti on the sign reads “submit to genocide goyim.” Goyim is a Yiddish word that is derogatory in nature and means a non-Jewish person.
Oelwein Chief of Police Jeremy P. Logan says they have worked with the vendor and the sign will be cleaned up by the end of the day today.
