New York man pleads guilty to antisemitic hate crime offenses

Blauvet, New York – Christopher Rascoll, who sent antisemitic death threats to a Stratford resident for nearly a year pleaded guilty to a hate crime charge Tuesday.

Christopher Rascoll, 49 of Blauvet, New York, pleaded guilty to one count of interference with the right to fair housing, a hate crime, and a count of sending threatening messages before U.S. District Judge Kari A. Dooley.

Or turned in a gas chamber,’ ” investigators said. “On April 8, 2020, Rascoll wrote ‘I’m going to kill you. You better be gone because if you’re in [the victim’s housing community] Easter weekend I’m going to stick you in an oven. Or I’m going to shoot you.’ ”
Rascoll was arrested on June 26 and has been detained since. He’s expected to be sentenced on July 27.
The charges against him carry a combined maximum imprisonment of 15 years.
