Nazi-friendly social media exec attacks Jewish org on eve of holocaust remembrance day

Last night the founder of the website Gab issued a statement slamming the American Jewish Congress. Today is Holocaust Remembrance Day.

Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene has a history of making racially insensitive comments about Jewish people. Some have been thinly veiled antisemitic attacks at George Soros. Others have been absurd, like the claim that California wildfires were started by Jewish Space Lasers.
Greene also uses the site Gab to fundraise. Gab does little to regulate hate speech on the site and antisemitism runs rampant. The American Jewish Congress recently released a statement outlining the way the Georgia congresswoman uses Gab and how she’s benefited the site.
Last night, Andrew Torba, the founder of the site, blasted The AJC. Torba wrote, “The American Jewish Congress provides ZERO evidence of ANY ‘incitement to violence’ on Gab that they claim exists here because we have zero tolerance for it and take action against threats immediately.”

The message continued, “Gab is a force to be reckoned with for the 2022 and 2024 political cycles. Marjorie Taylor Greene is proof of that, which is why the Oligarchs are going to work even harder to attack Gab and shut us down.”

The AJC was unfazed by Torba’s remarks. The organization posted on their Twitter page, “We are not going to mince words: Gab is a platform populated with Holocaust denying white supremacists and neo-Nazis. Marjorie Taylor Greene fundraises off of it regularly. We wear Gab founder Andrew Torba’s recent attacks on us with a badge of honor.”
