Graz synagogue smeared with pro-Palestine slogans

Graz – The synagogue in Graz and the parish hall of the Jewish community became the target of an act of vandalism from Tuesday to Wednesday. Pro-Palestinian slogans were posted on both houses, such as “Palestinian is free” and “Our language and our country are red lines”. 

According to the President of the Jewish Community of Graz, Elie Rosen, the slogans can be seen in two lines on the brickwork of the synagogue over a length of four to five meters and at a height of about one meter, on the parish hall there was a 40 centimeter high lettering. All graffiti were attached to the sides of the building facing the Grieskai St.

The police are investigating, the material from the surveillance camera is being evaluated.
