Antisemitic attack in Munich

Munich – A 51-year-old from Berlin was injured in the process. He had previously had a dispute with a 71-year-old from Munich. The incident dates from Tuesday last week.

As reported by the police, the two men were on the terrace of a residential building in the Westend at around 7 p.m. on July 28. There, the two got into an initially verbal argument for reasons that have not yet been clarified. This culminated in a physical argument.
According to the current investigation, the 51-year-old initially hit the 71-year-old’s head against a wall. The 71-year-old then pushed the 51-year-old to the ground and hit him with a shoe. The 71-year-old insulted his opponent with antisemitic words.
The 51-year-old wore a kippah and was therefore recognizable as a follower of the Jewish faith. Both parties were slightly injured in the dispute. Medical treatment was necessary for the 51-year-old.
