For 2019, the research and information center Antisemitismus Bayern (RIAS Bayern) recorded 178 antisemitic incidents in the Free State (Freistaat). This resulted in a documented antisemitic incident almost every other day. An antisemitic motivated serious physical injury, which is among the documented incidents, is particularly worrying. In addition to the serious physical injury, RIAS Bayern documented nine attacks, eleven targeted property damage, eight threats, 28 mass correspondence and 121 cases in the category of hurtful behavior. The latter included about 14 congregations, 35 face-to-face clashes and 33 cases of publicly presented antisemitic messages.
