A swastika painted on the memorial to the fallen of the Cremona Brigade of Camerlona, at the gates of Ravenna. A large swastika was painted with black paint on the monument which represents the visiting card to the memorial to the fallen. The scarring, of which the Ravenna edition of the Resto del Carlino accounts today, was also reported on Facebook by the mayor Michele De Pascale who speaks of «a gesture of absolute gravity and of unspeakable violence. Unfortunately – continues De Pascale – yet another unbearable episode, among the many that took place in recent days in Italy, of vandalism that praises fascism, Nazism and anti-Semitism. I want to say it forcefully, Ravenna, city Gold medal for military valor, will not tolerate such ignoble actions and we will react with the necessary decision ». The Municipality has brought in a specialized cleaning company. The shrine welcomes the remains of numerous fallen soldiers belonging to the fighting group of the Cremona Brigade engaged during the Second World War to free Italy from Nazifascism.
