This study presents the results of a research project by the Institute for Strategic Dialogue (ISD) on the online ecosystem of right-wing extremists on alternative platforms. The study is specifically dedicated to the German-speaking communities and channels within this ecosystem that focus on Germany.
The study provides an overview of the size and ideological orientation of the far-right communities as well as the motivations for membership. In addition, the report recommends tech companies, the federal government, civil society and researchers take appropriate measures to counter the extreme right online.
