Kolomyia – During a trial about land ownership in the city of Kolomyia, a verbal anti-Semitic violent incident took place in court.

It is about an old Jewish cemetery that during the Soviet era was converted into a public park. For several years now, the Jewish community has been demanding to return it to them, and has since become a target for harassment not being taken care of by the police.

The local court ruled in favor of the Jewish community, causing the uproar in the courtroom.

“Just look at this nightmare: Yids, Jewish garbage, who paid you, this is our land, shame on you, you live in our country, in my city – I am the law, why should an Ukrainian prove something in his own house, why do the Jews have priority and not the Ukrainians, you sold Jesus” – these are pictures from the hearing in the Court of Appeals concerning a lawsuit filed by the Jewish community of Kolomyya against the transformation of a Jewish cemetery Jew into a parc against the law,” writes Dolinsky on social network.

“There is no connection between the Jews and this land!” “Is there at least one proof that Jews are buried there?” – yells one of the activists. This is how he shouts about the old Jewish cemetery in Kolomyja where these activists installed a huge cross in memory of the policemen who murdered Jews. This happened during the pogroms in Kolomyja in July 1941, but then the activists could do whatever they wanted,” added the director of the Ukrainian Jewish Committee.
