Potsdam – Two Jews were insulted by an Arab on the train. The 23-year-old woman from Israel and her 42-year-old friend reported the incident on Sunday evening at the police inspector’s office in Postdam. According to their description, they boarded the train on Johan Kapler Square on Sunday afternoon and headed for the main railway station. A 30-year-old man was sitting at the station, who, according to their description, spoke to himself in Arabic. When he saw both of them entering the station, he shouted a number of Arabic slogans, which had religious contents.
The 42-year-old man, who was verbally assaulted, could have been identified clearly because he was dressed as a religious Jewish man. However, he understands Arabic, and when he filed the complaint, he repeated the statements made. These included offensive and inflammatory content. Although the anonymous man expressed her insults in a very aggressive manner, things did not come to violence. The unknown man got off at the main train station. Now the police are looking for him.
The man is described as follows: about 30 years old, black hair, unusually thick lips, and a wide gap between the front teeth.
