Brownsville, TX – Nurith Galonsky is hoping to make a change and take over the seat for Brownsville City Commissioner, District One.
But Sunday morning, Galonsky woke up to disturbing news about her campaign signs posted in front of the Main Public Library.
“I noticed there was a swastika scribbled onto my forehead and then there were little horns, which I thought was inappropriate, because I’m Jewish and that’s a typical way to demean Jewish people,” said Galonsky.
She filed a police report with Brownsville Police Department and even checked a convenience store camera across the street.
Galonsky says she will not let the display of hate slow down her race.
