Auderghem – Antisemitic graffiti tags have been discovered at the cultural centre of Auderghem while a Jewish cultural event was taking place.

The incident dates back to 8 April, but is only now public knowledge. The tags, cursing Jewish people in profane language and referring to Hitler, were on a parking sign just outside of the centre. The signs were covered before visitors arrived at the event. The sign was later replaced, reports La Capitale.

Acting mayor of Auderghem Sophie de Vos (Défi) called the tags “disgusting, shameful and unacceptable”. According to her, this is the second antisemitic tag that had to be removed during her tenure. No formal complaint was made.
