Carlisle, PA – KKK flyers were found distributed in Carlisle over the weekend.

Carlisle police say there were notified that malicious and unsolicited flyers had been passed out on Saturday. They said they are attempting to identify the people responsible for them.

Authorities said the flyers were found on Glendale Street and other parts of the borough as well as in Newville.

Police say birdseed was attached to the flyers so they would stay put upon landing in their desired location. They also believe the flyers were intended for propaganda and recruiting purposes, not as a targeted hate crime.

Borough councilman Sean Crampsie denounced the flyers on Twitter, describing them as being “hate-filled, racist, and antisemitic.” He said hate has no place in the Carlisle community.
