Battle Creek, MI – A Battle Creek synagogue was vandalized overnight Saturday for the second time,Battle Creek Police Department chief Jim Blocker confirmed Sunday.
Blocker said officers responded to Temple Beth El, located at 306 Capital Ave. NE, Sunday morning and an investigation has since been launched. The vandalism can be seen just on the outside of the temple’s entrance; “lier” spray painted in black across the menorah, which police assume is the misspelling of “liar,” with an unknown symbol above the word.
The same menorah was vandalized in December 2018 during Hanukkah.
